CHURCH OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD
BOROUGH GREEN, KENT
WORSHIP & PRAYER
We have a variety of different worship services, as shown here. Details of the times and dates of our services can be found on our Calendar
Many of our services are also shared via Zoom for those who cannot come to the church building. If you would like the Zoom details to join us please get in touch.
Holy Communion is the shared meal of the church.
We share in worship, confess our shared need for God and share together in learning from God’s word.
Most importantly we hear Christ’s invitation to us all to share at His table the gift that He offers – Himself.
God’s love for us all is symbolised in the bread and wine we share.
All those whose practice is to receive communion are welcome to do so with us.
(The service lasts for about 1 hour)
All Age Communion
While children are welcome to attend all our services, this service is more interactive and accessible for the younger members of God’s family.
(The service lasts for about 45 minutes)
Breakfast Church is an informal time of food, fellowship and faith.
We share breakfast together, worship, pray, chat and explore God’s love for us.
It’s a time for all the family to be together and everyone is welcome.
(About 1 hour –
but come and go when you like)
Sometimes it is not possible to come to the church building for worship – and so we can come to you.
If you would like to receive communion at home, or just have someone visit for a pastoral conversation, then get in touch and we’ll make arrangements.
Tea Time Church
A mix of food, faith and fellowship as families gather to worship in an informal setting, share food with each other
and have a chat.
There’s a variety of things to eat, usually some craft to enjoy and lots of fun to be had.
Everyone in God’s family
is welcome to join us.
Morning Prayer is part of the daily rhythm of prayer that the church has enjoyed for centuries. A chance, near the start of the day, to connect with God, engage with Scripture and pray for God’s world and people.
Currently, morning prayer is held online using Zoom. If you would like to join us then please get in touch for the Zoom details.
Children’s Church is a chance for the younger members of our church family to explore their faith, dig into the Bible and learn about God’s love for them. They can go on their own – or take their grown-ups with them
All our Children’s Church leaders are DBS checked
The church building is open each day for private prayer.
There is space to sit, to speak and listen to God and if it helps your prayers, there are candles to light.
There are also small books of prayers that you might find a useful starting point
Each day The Church of Good Shepherd prays for different streets in Borough Green, covering the whole village each week.
If you would like to make a prayer request then you can write it on our prayer wall
There is a free national telephone line that offers music, prayers and reflection as well as a full Worship Service from The Church Of England.
